♫♫PINK SATURDAY☺PINK SATURDAY♫♫

It's Pink Saturday again already!!  I have walked around the yard many times this week snapping pics of anything PINK!!  Visit the host, lovely Beverly @ HOW SWEET THE SOUND to see all of this weeks lovely participants and visit their sites!!
The buds are so big and so pretty!

Pink Parasol Mandevilla is climbing the lattice  nicely already, I just love it!  Thanks friends! (Sally and John)

And the Crown of
Thorns plant is just "chuck full" of blossoms! This is an amazing plant that blooms all year long, never ceasing. I take it inside for the winter and it never stops giving of its beautiful blooms. It is about 3 foot tall.  It is so named as to represent Christ's crown of thorns and the blossoms are the drops of blood He shed.
When we visited Huntington Beach State Park we saw this beautiful Pink Striped Beach umbrella.
This is my deep pink/red Gladiola plant.

This Lantana Plant has both pink and orange blossoms on the same bush!
PINK...

If I could be a Pink "Something"
I would be a tiny Sunset cloud
Floating above the earth below
Just singing praises right out loud!
Thanking God for all I have
Thanking nature for all it gives
Thanking every tiny bird
That gives so much without a word
But only a song from it's heart.

Loving the onset of Fall!

Just loving the cool mornings and even cooler evenings of the Fall season!  We can open the windows in the mornings and we can use a quilt to sleep at night-what more could we ask for!  Some leaves are beginning to fall and the Autumn colors are kissing the earth with golden tones!  And thus a poem is born......

Basking in Summer's afterglow
Autumn approaches ever so slow
Kissing the earth with golden tones
And scenting the air with evergreen cones.

Bass are still jumpin' in the little pond
Catching dragonflies all around.
The Mums are blooming red and gold
And the morning air is almost cold.

Leaves are turning yellow and red
Adorning the lawn and flowerbed.
The days are shortening hour by hour
The sunsets richer but shorter by far.

Such a warm and colorful time of the year
A last splash of color before Winter drear
A welcome sight to one and all
Loving the changes that come with Fall!

Mama Squirrel at our campsite last weekend.
See http://kerrieskorner.blogspot.com/ to read about our camping trip and more pictures.
The woods are still full of beautiful wildflowers, just love this picture hubby took of a flower on a trailing vine...

This massive cluster of berries was on the walking trail.  The clusters were as large as basketballs!  I could not identify what they were.

We always request this spot right across from the lake.  We can look out of our door and kitchen window and see it.  So peaceful and serene.

Thanks for stopping by and do come again soon.  Don't forget to visit my other blogs, the links are in the sidebar and also my Etsy Shop where I am starting to post fall decor that is homemade as well as all the other gifts and things on my site.  Link is http://etsy.com/shop/ohearn67

'TIS THE LAST ROSE OF SUMMER♫

♫'TIS THE LAST ROSE OF SUMMER♫......
"left blooming on the vine.
An old Irish tune that my father taught to me.
The last flowers of summer are the most precious
to us, are they not?  From my window here at
the computer, I can take pictures right through
the window of anything in my back yard.
The rain on the roses this morning was so beautiful
but my little camera does not do it justice.  Although
the day be dreary, the colors of fall and my roses
cheer my heart.  And inside on my window sill is a
small pot with my African Violet.  It requires nothing
of me but a little water once in awhile. But it gives
back to me a full measure of beauty year after year.

Isn't this an adorable Witch??  I found her at Ms.
Penniwigs!  A link to her site is on my sidebar, do
visit.  She has the most wonderful graphics
ever!                      AUTUMN
Time passes, draining the color from plants and trees
As fall sets in, I see the last of honey bees
Cool rain falls on my sleepy garden
Gourds turn tan and begin to harden.

I dream of all the holidays in the wings
That fill my head with crafts and things
Spooky ghosts and pumpkin pies
Thanksgiving feast and then Christmas buys
    As another year is ending...

Mourning Doves

Good Monday Morning to you all! We have always loved Mourning Doves and are blessed that we are able to see them up close and personal where they nest every year in the palm tree. They do not even mind when my husband climbs the ladder to get a face to face shot! Their nature is so calm and they seem so at peace with themselves and the world. I can understand why Noah would send the dove to seek land in the hope that the flood waters had receded in Genesis: 8.10 .

Do visit Donna at Mourning Dove Cottage site. http://donnas-art.blogspot.com . Donna's site is filled with color from her magical garden and her dachshunds, Otis and Riley seem to fit right in. You will have to smile! That is what I love about Blogging. Each friend brings you to another and we all have something in common, love of nature and expression of that place inside us that urges us to create.
Mourning Dove, Mourning Dove
You greet us each morning with your cooing love
Gentle soul upon the branch of tree
Thank you for bringing joy to me!
