Aint it kind of funny how time slips away ♫♫

My, where does the time go?  Busy, Busy!  I have been working part time and enjoying that.  I am so busy with church activities, gardening in the nice weather and now 'tis winter in full swing!  Here are some photos to bring you up to date since my last post. While playing basketball with my boy friend John and his neice and nephew, I broke my finger.  But I actually have improved my bone density from doing this (weight bearing exercise) and no longer take meds for my bones!  Hurray!

John and I planted a little raised garden between our houses on his side of the hedge that yielded onions, carrots, leaf lettuce, and kale.  It was great fun and John's first garden.

Below is my backyard flower garden with antique hand plow.

We spent many days and evenings at OYC on the lake and had another wonderful summer of swimming, sailing, listening to bands, friends and awesome sunsets....

Above, my pumpkin vine with a blossom as large as a dinner platter!

And then the most beautiful carpet of yellow Autumn leaves I have ever seen in the backyard...

And then came the snow....

And it was time to trim the little tree again with all my handmade ornaments of  yore.  A Santa from a flame bulb, a vintage card print in plastic packaging and below a cute little Caroler I painted on a Cat's Paw Shell.

I love them all and they bring back so many memories of Christmas past.

May you have a most blessed New Year and thanks for coming.  Ya'll come back soon!

GOOD MORNING

GOOD MORNING dear hearts!  The summer is just whizzing by and the weeks even faster.  I have been enjoying John, sailing, swimming, gardening, dances at the Yacht Club, friends and family with multiple birthdays, graduations, ad infinitum.  and singing with the Praise Group at Church keeps me busy with rehearsals on Wednesdays and Sundays and then the service.  I never thought I would be this busy at my age!! Ha!  Some of the things that keep me busy:

My nephews Cameron and Matt the grad, Mom Amy and Dad Kevin

Beautiful Sunsets at the Yacht Club on Owasco Lake.

The building of my new front porch.

Trying to get myself back into painting....

Gave this one to John for his Birthday July 16th.

Another one of my hobbies is finding fresh water fossils.  I found this snail shell near the parking lot at the club.

My wonderful granddaughter Rosemary who graduated from H.S. AND College one week after another!  Brother Seth (2nd year Clemson U, SC to her left), Mom Christine and Dad Jim.  The programs they provide to High Schoolers now are wonderful!  The last 2 yrs. of High School, both of the grandchildren attended College.  AMAZING!

And last but not least a trip to Bucktail Falls with John's Nephew Carl and Great nephew, Tim.  They took a shower in the falls and that water was cold!!

What have you been doing this summer??

A SECOND BLOOMING FOR CAMELLIA BUSH.

Apparently, the Camellia Bush decided to bloom again.  These flowers are so beautiful and I had to bring one in!

My spring tablescape below

I love brightness.  I dislike going into a home with all the drapes drawn and no light within...
Sunshine makes my day, If it is sunny out, I am sunny, too!

And the sunsets are always like God saying goodnight....
Isn't God and nature just the best?!

Thank you for visiting and do visit my other blogs in the sidebar if you have time.

SKY WATCHING.....

SO SORRY FOR ALL THE TORNADOS AND STORMS GOING ON IN THE COUNTRY!  I hope that we never see one but they also pass through SC and I think no state is safe from the forces of nature.
But today I am celebrating all the BEAUTIFUL skies that we have seen in the last week.
This is the sky we saw on our first night of camping last Tuesday in Mt. Pleasant SC.  It was raining and trying to clear and we find beauty in that, also.

The blue contrast as the clouds broke up was so vivid and welcome!

And this was the sky in our own backyard after a beautiful day over the weekend. I really like the jet stream catching the rays.

Each evening I hate to see the sun fade, I hate giving up the beautiful day yet I treasure the spectrum of the sunset....

"Day is done, gone the sun
From the land, from the sea, from the sky,
All is well, safely rest,
God is nigh."   ♫Taps

No two sunsets are ever alike so I have to run outside and snap as many pictures as I can.  I am easily entertained-ha!  My Friend at Katney's Kaboodle has a feature called "Sky Watch" on her blog and I love visiting there to see the variations in sky pictures.  Do visit Katney's Kaboodle and also check out her "ODD SHOTS".  She is a wonderful lady who travels a lot and takes the most wonderful pictures of our country!
Thanks for visiting and please leave a comment!  Come again soon.

Camping Willow Tree SC

We just came home from a 3-day camping trip with our 2 grandchildren. It was stiffling hot but we enjoyed ourselves immensely fishing, swimming and hanging loose - ha! Willow Tree is one of the most beautiful spots ever and never lets us down with beautiful scenery. Our camera's love it there! I have never seen a sky like this one last night at sunset. My grandson is silhouetted against the scene and I love the way it came out. I used my hubby's camera instead of mine and it takes much better pictures. May all of your sunsets be as lovely as this! The unidentified moth was so beautiful against the blue hue of the rotting leaves in the nature trail.
