EMPTY NEST~AGAIN?

YES, EMPTY NEST AGAIN!  2 yrs. ago this November, our youngest moved back in with us after a 2 yr. stay in Georgia.  Since then, she has met a wonderful man and she moved out just last week.  I know there are many of you out there who have had children come in and out of your lives.  But we are always glad and happy for them when they can be on their own again, and so happy!

So the guest room and bath that was occupied by my daughter is now being restored to the former.  First I did the bathroom as she is still moving things from the bedroom but that is next-ha!

So here tis, with my color scheme and shower curtain askew as I like it-tee-hee!

The night light has a ballerina on it and I bought it when my granddaughter who was a dancer growing up and staying with us a lot.  Good memories!  The little ceramic light switch surround matches the beige on the wall and other colors in the room.  The chocolate pot with flowers was a gift from the same daughter years ago and is filled with fabric flowers and some of my handmade clay roses in pink and yellow.

And this is the over the water closet shelving with some of my favorite things: a 3-dimensional ceramic water pitcher with roses on it, a pedestal shell dish with fabric flowers, magazines and towels and on the wall, a pen and ink drawing by my brother of a water mill done on ceramic tile.  I love this so much.  He did this more than 22yrs ago!

Next is my den/computer room as it had my daughter's work computer in it next to mine so the room had to be arranged to acommodate the second computer and now I can re-arrange it again-ha!

What has your experience been?  Have you helped children after they were grown when they needed to come "home" for awhile?  It is hard for them sometimes, too, as they do not want give up their independence but circumstances force them to.  And we are older and set in our ways even though we want to help and love them as much as ever.  God has blessed us with patience and blessed us with the help that my daughter gave to us now that my husband has been so ill with the Multiple Myeloma.  She cut the grass, cleaned out gutters for us, cooked us special dishes now and then and provided a lot of laughter as well as tears over the past two years.  It was God's plan, we know.

Each of our children is special to us in their own way.  Our first daughter because she was our first child to survive birth and we rejoiced!  Our first daughter and son died after birth.  Our Son, as he was our second blessing and a happy baby and man.  And our youngest daughter because we wanted "one more" so badly and God blessed us with her.  God is so good!

Thank you for visiting and do come back again soon!

Good Morning Sweet Kerrie and Bill...
I am so happy for the two of you. I know about having children live with us, and yes oh how we want to help them as much as we can, we so want to know that when we leave this earth that they are able to stand on their own two feet as well. Heidi and the girls are hoping they will be able to move out sometime around Christmas. We shall see.

Love what you have done with your bathroom. That lilac purple is absolutely exquisite. LOVE it. Such a beautiful room. Thank you for sharing its beauty.

Please stop by and leave a comment for Charlie on my blog. I am one of the hosting sites and would so love to have you help earn a 1.00 for the next Miracle Makeover. You can leave one tomorrow as well. That is the last day.

Many hugs to you all, mustn't forget sweet Isabella. Love you, Sherry
