Trip To Huntington Beach, SC

WE ARE FORTUNATE INDEED TO LIVE JUST DOWN THE ROAD FROM HUNTINGTON BEACH STATE PARK ON THE OCEAN IN SOUTH CAROLINA.
I took hubby for a much needed outing for a couple of hours today.  The weather was beautiful and the beach was full of vacationers, but we found a quiet place under an ancient Cedar tree with branches split by storms and were touching the ground.  We people-watched and took photos of the wonderfully colored umbrellas on the beach and were joined by a beautiful Male Cardinal at the picnic table in our little hide-a-way.  We met another family from the Catskills in our home state of NY.  Hubby is tired and napping now but we had a great outing...
 we loved the colors
of all the umbrellas so
vivid against the sand
and water.

The waves were gentle
on a calm sea.

The dunes were beautiful
with grasses growing in
the sand.

 This is the board
walk to the beach
surrounded by
Myrtle Trees.

The cardinal joined us at the table in our cedar hide-a-way...

All in all, a lovely outing!  I sure hope you are enjoying this Memorial Day with your loved ones, God Bless.  Come again soon and please take time to visit my other blogs listed in the sidebar.

Thank you for taking us with you, in a way I feel like we shared the day. I so love it when bloggers post pictures of what they have been doing! So glad you had such a lovely day! My favorite picture continues to be the first one, that colorful line of umbrellas between the sea and the grass.

Oh Kerrie Sweetie...
Thank you for taking me along this evening. I so enjoyed myself. My goodness is that old cedar tree not the most beautiful refuge ever. What a gorgeous place to sit and people watch. You could see the color of the ocean and the skies, you could hear the laughter of the people playing in the waves, and you could see the beautiful umbrellas shading folks from the harsh sun.

I could feel the warm sand under my feet and a cool breeze on my face. How wonderful were the birds singing over head, and that Cardinal was so happy you stopped by. I loved this share.

Bill looks wonderful. I am so happy you two were able to get out today and enjoy each other's company and a tiny piece of the beautiful world that God created for each of us to enjoy.

Many hugs to you both sweet one, and so much love, Sherry
