Woodpecker Visit

This morning, I was greeted by this little Woodpecker on the log feeder. He is so precious and was really working on the seed and peanut butter that fills each hole in the log. This is such a fun feeder and so simple to make. If you would like instructions, please contact me. This is a young female Downy Woodpecker. She is most likely this years hatching accounting for her scraggly feathers and the lack of detail on her markings. She is sweet and I loved her visit! This is the commonest eastern woodpecker. Barred outer tail feathers when visible are diagnostic.
