EASTER EGG CRAFTS
Here are eggs decorated like the beautiful Ukranian wax and dyed eggs. I blew out the egg yokes with a tiny rubber syringe. Then I painted them with black acrylic paint. Next, I made swirls, flowers, geometric designs with different colored acrylic paints. My husband varnished them when dry and they are a pretty good likeness of the real thing. I have had these for at least 10 years. Again, my Mom's friend, Genevieve who was Ukranian, gave my Mom an egg every year decorated in the tradition of waxing and dying. She had many skills despite the fact that she was blind in one eye from an injury that left a latent infection. Genevieve was full of love and ability to make beautiful things. She was a joy to my Mom and to me. You can also make these as I did and they would make beautiful home gifts at any time of year. If you do not like the thought of using real eggs, wood ones can be purchased at any craft store. HAPPY EASTER DECORATING..............
