OCTOBER DAYS...

Wonderful October days!  Since I have moved back to my hometown, the weather has been beautiful and friends said I must have brought it with me-ha!  I cannot leave a pretty leaf on the ground and have been decorating with them and painting them.

I also ironed some between wax paper like my Mom used to do and that not only makes them lie flat but they retain their color longer.

And I was pleased with the water color, too.

The cooler days are great for cleaning and I organized an upstairs hall closet and covered with a pair of drapes.
To make your own water color painting even if you cannot draw, see my http://kerrieskrafts3.blogspot.com blog for instructions.
Thank you so much for visiting and do come again.  Leave a comment, I love getting them.  Have a wonderful Autumn weekend!

My Fall Table

Here is my fall table with candles glowing, a cross stitch runner with horn of plenty on it and a lovely apple pitcher with mums.  Also, a Maple leaf dish in wonderful fall colors!  Definitely my favorite time of year!

I love this little dish and I think I only paid a couple of dollars for it a few years ago.

This Cross Stitch pre-printed table runner was from Wal-Mart.  I loved it because it took no time to whip out and washes beautifully!

What are your favorites that you put out in fall?

The last picture is of my hubby's lunch.  He is on the renal failure diet now (not on dialysis as yet, thanking God!)
The Suplena drink is a replacement for Ensure as Ensure was bad for the kidneys.  This gives him protein, etc. without the side effects.  He also is lactose intolerant now and drinks Rice Milk.  They have this in the grocery store in the organic and diabetic area.  He loves it and does not taste any difference.  He eats a half sandwich with a whole slice of low sodium roasted turkey and a whole slice of alpine lace low sodium cheese that you can ask for at the deli, this brand is Boar's Head.  He also has a couple of teaspoons of sweet Cole slaw.  We use Smart Balance butter substitute and I eat all the same things with him with no problem with taste.  It all tastes good so he wanted me to take a picture-ha!  And put his drink right on top of the sandwich.  I found that Italian sliced bread has a lot less sodium than white bread, as does Buttermilk bread, also.  This is much more tasty and we both love it!  To see the little fish he caught go to Kerrie's Korner, SC blog.
Thanks for visiting and do come again.  We love having you visit us.

Chilly Autumn Morn...

Hi! I am loving the cooler temps this morning after a hot, humid and rainy week!!  My sis-in-law bought me a little straw man and prompted me to decorate for fall outside!

Fall is my favorite time of year!  I had already purchased the 2 small pumpkins at the grocery store and they were just the right size for my scarecrow!
Isn't he adorable?
The mums have wilted a little with all the rain we had but still make a nice accent of color.  The leaves on the trees have not changed yet here in Coastal Carolina but will be beautiful when all the Bradford Pear Trees in our neighborhood turn a bright and hearty red!

I hope your Sunday is beautiful and blessed, too!

JUST ANOTHER FABRIC PUMPKIN

I HAD TO MAKE JUST ONE MORE FABRIC PUMPKIN!  This one is made with a wider gore pattern, 6 in all.  I used scraps of Flannel Fabric, Rafia and Gold Wire Ribbon.  The pattern had tails for the Stem and on the bottom to gather in the gores. I added an orange Buttom on the bottom and that helped to balance it.  Very simple but it makes a pretty accent in any room.  Thank you for visiting my 3 blogs and don't forget to enter and comment for the Give-A-Way that I posted on this site October 22nd.  I already have a dozen entries and hope to get more before the drawing on November 8th! I am adding lots of little goodies to the prize!
