Left are last spring's Blue bird babies coming in for a close up look at our other bird house. The Red-headed Woodpecker is just a fake one. But there was a real one visiting-ha!
I love seeing the children come back to the yard, they seem to be mostly males. I love the contrast of their blue so bright along with the Bradford Pear tree leaves, still brilliant in December! We never lack for color!
Another week is rushing away on me! Thursdays just seem to pop up way too fast and then it's Friday before we can snap our fingers! Tomorrow we are having breakfast with friends at the little Beach Cafe, can't wait! On my Kerrie's Korner blog, I have shared some more of my Christmas poetry and hope you will enjoy it there.

I love watching the birds too, Kerri. Right now we have a lot of red-tailed hawks hunting and crying through the air...the hunting must be good because there are so many around this year. They are such beautiful birds, but I also see woodpeckers and we have so many robins and the ever present mockingbird...they are so tenacious and are really fun to watch, especially in the spring when they have a nest and when one of our resident cats walks near by, they dive after them like little red barons (he, he, he) and scare the cats off into the woods.
Have a wonderful day and keep warm.
Doris
