Vintage Card to Serviceman

I hope everyone is enjoying a star-spangled weekend before the 4th of July!!  I am sharing a vintage card from the 40's for a serviceman that I purchased in the early 70's at an estate sale.  I knew of this woman's house as she lived near my in-laws, never married and was a Sunday School teacher.  She had many wonderful cards and book and I was fortunate to obtain these cards from the past that were never used.  I have two of the same as the one I am featuring.

I think it is amazing how brilliant the colors remain!  The envelope is yellowed but the card is perfect.  I have several more cards for different occasions and I just love them all! I hope you enjoy seeing them as well.  Don't forget Pink Saturday over at Beverly's How Sweet the Sound, Look for me in the list of participants with pink hand palms...http://howsweetthesound.typepad.com

Do come again soon, Hugs,

The card is still so pretty!!! I hope you don't ever have someone close to you that you would need to send it to. Some things are better if you don't have to use them!
