4th was a Success!

We had so much fun with the neighbors for the 4th!  The weather was cooperative with sun, breeze and not too hot.  We had patriotic music from the neighbor across the street who played it through his outdoor speakers.  Food was great and there was a lot of laughing going on!  My sweet hubby lasted for 4 hrs. and then stayed awake to watch the Nascar race after we got home!!  Here is a picture of the jolly group:
The flag is a full size fabric flag that the neighbors put on a frame.  The owner displays this in honor of his father every year.

We had a group of about 25 ranging from 13 yrs. to 90's-ha!  We live in an over 55 community and everyone looks out for everyone else.  Grandchildren visit and so we get to see the young folks as well.  There are 2 pools and clubhouses in the community and an activity club that does everything from golf to poker to gardening.  There is a knitting club and crafts.  We also have a library with books, CD's and video's that are all donated for borrowing on the honor system.  It works out very well.  The name of our community is Jensen's and there are many others in other states as well.  It was started and maintained by a family originally in Connecticutt.  It's a great place to live and we are glad we are a part of it.  This is our 5th year here.  Where else but in America----God Bless America!
Love and Hugs
