GOOD FRIDAY

"Matthew 27:28-30  "They stripped him and put a scarlet robe on him, and made a crown from long thorns and put it on his head, and placed a stick in his right hand as a scepter and knelt before him in mockery.  "Hail, King of the Jews, they yelled.  And they spat on him and grabbed the stick and beat him on the head with it.
Vs 45-50: That afternoon, the whole earth was covered with darkness for three hours, from noon until three o'clock.  About three o'clock, Jesus shouted, "Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani?" which means, "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?" Some of the bystanders misunderstood and thought he was calling for Elijah.  One of them ran and filled a sponge with sour wine and put it on  a stick and held it up to him to drink.   But the rest said, "Leave him alone.  Let us see whether Elijah will come and save him."

Then Jesus shouted out again, dismissed his spirit and died.

Good Friday, so devastating, so severe, so without Hope.  But then on Glorious Easter Sunday, the stone is rolled away, the grave is empty and the Lord has risen!!  God has the final word!
Please see my http://kerrieskorner.blogspot.com/ for another Good Friday message.  Wishing you all blessings for an Enjoyable Easter Sunday.  Be thankful that you live in a free country where you can worship as you please, it is truly gift.

Easter Blessing to you and your family. We are so undeserving of what our Lord did for us.
