Is this not adorable?? It is made to sit on top of the colored egg and it could be personalized with a name or initial or attach a tag for use as place cards at the table. I just love this little chick! It is simple single crochet and and the hat is just shell stitch to make it look floppy. I ad-libbed the little blue flower although there were directions for it in the pattern. I have this one setting on my kitchen windowsill over the sink so I can enjoy it all day long.
I used a tiny orange hair band for the beak by cutting it up and sewing to the face. I did use seed beads for the eyes as indicated in the pattern. I hope you enjoyed this little peek of Easter Fun and will make some of these for your friends and family.
Of course we do not forget the true meaning of Easter when God gave his only begotten Son so that we might live. Such a sacrifice! We are so blessed and thank God always and everywhere for our Lord Jesus.
