Robins and Tomatoes, etc.

GOOD MORNING ALL! The temps here in SC have been hot and humid and no relief in site until the weekend.... The Robins that frequent our yard love to cool off in the birdbath in back by the lake. Here is one of our feathered friends splashing about!

   I love this last pic with all the splashes of water in the air!
Neighbors have a friend who has a very large garden and loves sharing so our neighbor has been bringing us wonderfully fresh garden tomatoes--what a treat!
  Tomatoes are natural cancer fighters!  Since hubby has had Multiple Myeloma, I have learned so much about antioxidants and cancer preventing agents in nature.  Did you know that the effects of tomato properties can help even if the source is only from Ketchup!!  My hubby loves tomatoes, sauce, Ketchup on sandwiches, etc.  Sometimes I just cut the tomatoes up, add a little salt and pepper and a dollop of mayo on them for him to have with lunch.

   Neighbors, wildlife and nature's bounty are all wonderful!  Have you hugged a neighbor today??  Hugs to all of you...
Thank you for visiting and come again soon.  To see the progress of the growing Canadian Geese babies and more, please visit my Kerrie's Korner, SC blog. Thanks!

Oh, I LOVE the robin in the birdbath! So SWEET!.. As for tomatoes? LOVE them, but I'm sure I don't get enough of them! Maybe I'll have some tomato soup for lunch today! Actually, I used to know a girl who made bread out of tomato soup! I'll have to "google around" to see if I can find the recipe! ~tina

LOL! BACK AGAIN!.. I am trying to remember if it was bread or cake now.. Not sure, but I will do some "googling", and see if anything rings a bell. I'll let you know if I can! (0;

I love the birdbath! And I can even see the drops of water in the next to last picture, too! Lycopene! Seems like most cancer survivors know about this, but not many others. And it is even stronger in cooked tomato products. CHERRIES!!!!
