Another Mama......
This is a beautiful stray Mama kitty. She lives in the bushes near an empty house in our neighborhood. One day she came out with 2 kittens! They are black and white like their Mama even though their father is an orange striped cat that sometimes visits, lying in the grass near her.
She even lets the kittens suckle right out in the open near the bushes where we observe from our view across the lake. This morning, she brought them a baby bunny though and I wonder if in the wild they would eat this or not. She just dropped it on the ground and then laid down ignoring it. I really don't know if she brought the bunny to feed them but perhaps being wild, she did. I hesitate to call the SPCA because they would not make good pets never having been in a house. But Mama and the Lord will take care of it all so I am not going to worry.
Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything; tell God your needs and don't forget to thank Him for his answers. If you do this you will experience God's peace, which is far more wonderful than the human mind can understand. his peace will keep your thoughts and hearts quiet and at rest as you trust in Christ Jesus.

Funny thing about feral cats...the cats we see today are all domesticated and the ones that are homeless are either feral or stray. The wild cats are an entirely different species and still live in the wild. The cats we see here are pets that were not wanted, kicked out, abandoned, whatever and left to fend for themselves. A cat is not in its natural habitat outside...we have domesticated the cat (and dog) thosands of years ago for the specific purpose of them becoming our pets, just to abandon them and neglect them so that they had to revert back - thereby becoming feral- and try to be "wild" as they once were thousands of years ago. This is a difficult life for these animals (cats and dogs) as they are really meant to be with us and want to be near humans since we made them what they are today. It is very, very sad what has become of "our" pets.
What a beautiful post. Lovely pictures of Mama cat and her kittens.
