GOOD SUNDAY MORNING TO YOU!

GOOD MORNING BLOG SISTERS and BROTHERS.  Some of you said that you liked my new header but it was missing the coffee-ha!  I too, thought the same thing when I looked and so changed it this morning to include the coziness of coffee and cookies baked by Hubby and invite you in!

Hubby likes to bake, aren't I the lucky one?  When we wanted to get married, he took the first job he could find in 1959 which was in a hometown bakery.  He stayed there for 5 yrs. and learned some of the best baking secrets.  To this day he will not show me how his wonderful Wedding Cake icing is made- ha-ha!
These are his Oatmeal cookies and they are yummy!

I have been experimenting with crocheting edges on cotton dish cloths that could also be used as Napkins!  Washing dishes has never been so elegant-ha!  I really love the look and feel.
This little antique silver spoon has embossed lilies on the handle and I have 2 other pieces of flatware that have that pattern.  I just love its daintiness.  The saucer is from my Mom's collection and I treasure it.  The cup I purchased just because it is pretty and is not vintage but matches quite well!
Thanks for dropping in and won't you come again? The door is always open...

And do check out my other blogs that are linked in the sidebar to see a special Sunday message with original poetry.

Oh, thank you so much. That looks so inviting and I just love my morning coffee - those dishes are so pretty too. I love pretty dishes with flowers on them. Makes everything taste better when you eat from pretty dishes and drink from pretty cups...thank your hubby for the cookies :-)

Hi Kerrie! Oh, how fortunate to have a baking hubby! Those cookies do look so good!
What a pretty setting. I love that tea cup - the shape and the pretty pattern.
Oh, I wish you'd shown your crocheted edging up close. I crochet too and would love to see it.
Thank you so much for poping in to see me.
Be a sweetie,
shelia ;)

You're so lucky to have a hubby that bakes!

I love the vintage tablecloth - what a pretty tablesetting! I think crochet edges are so charming - on pillowcases etc. I wish I knew how to do it!
