Easter Peek

I found this sweet little crochet pattern for a egg cover on FaveCrafts.com and I just had to share with everyone even though this is not my craft blog-ha!

Is this not adorable??  It is made to sit on top of the colored egg and it could be personalized with a name or initial or attach a tag for use as place cards at the table.  I just love this little chick!  It is simple single crochet and and the hat is just shell stitch to make it look floppy.  I ad-libbed the little blue flower although there were directions for it in the pattern.  I have this one setting on my kitchen windowsill over the sink so I can enjoy it all day long.
I used a tiny orange hair band for the beak by cutting it up and sewing to the face.  I did use seed beads for the eyes as indicated in the pattern.
I hope you enjoyed this little peek of Easter Fun and will make some of these for your friends and family.

Of course we do not forget the true meaning of Easter when God gave his only begotten Son so that we might live.  Such a sacrifice!  We are so blessed and thank God always and everywhere for our Lord Jesus.

Have the most Wonderful Day dear friends!

Thank you for visiting and do visit my other 2 blogs clicking on the links in my sidebar.  I featured a wonderful crafty blogger on Kerrie's Korner, SC blog today.

That little chick is so cute with her bonnet on. I've been looking for Easter patterns too and found a few cute ones I want to try, including an Easter egg wreith for my door, but with all my other commitments, I probably won't make it in time. There just isn't enough hours in the day to do them all.
Thanks for sharing. I hope you and yours are doing well today!
Kind Regards,
Doris :-)

Hi Kerrie! This is ADORABLE!!! I love your suggestion about making several up for place settings at the table too! Great idea! I will have to look this pattern up.. I hope I have time to make at LEAST one. Time has been absolutely FLYING by faster than I can keep up lately! Today, I'm trying to get some spring cleaning in, before I take down St. Pat's decorations, and put up the Easter decorations! I'm HOPING to get a fair amount accomplished today... We'll see! ~tina

I'm always glad when a blogger shares cute ideas she's found on the web. My list of craft ideas is about as long as my arm, but I'm having fun bookmarking as fast as I can. Thanks for sharing!
